It's the New Year friends and the club is going to have crazy high attendance. You might be hearing a lot of people who were otherwise out of the health and fitness scene talk about working out or trying better health habits. Before you roll your eyes at those folks or complain that they are using equipment that used to be available to you, think about how scared they are to walk into the gym. They may put on a big front like they aren't scared of passing out during their first cycle class or that they know what they are doing at the barbell rack, but we all know they are intimidated by us, the people who've been consistently exercising for months.
Instead of putting these new or returning people down for not being here in 2019, let's encourage them to keep it going until the summer. That real results aren't made in one month but with consistency over the course of the year. I know how easy it is to "hate on" this population but they are striving to be like you. So reach out a hand to those trying to better themselves and help them on their journey!
